From start to finish we couldn’t have asked for a more focused and professional approach to ensure our first ‘Riddings Residential’ was a success. Our aims for the day were taken into consideration and the course was individually planned to meet the needs of our pupils. Your staff took the time and effort to pre-visit our school and talk with staff about making the best use of our extensive woods and grounds, suggesting activities that would meet our intended aims and outcomes.
The organisation for the day was perfect. Activities were set up efficiently and to the highest safety standards and your experienced staff team were excellent with both the pupils and staff, ensuring that every child achieved. The activities were exciting and adventurous and the learning that actually took place was staggering. We were amazed at how much you managed to pack into the day, whilst maintaining quality sessions. Your team were professional and enthusiastic; engaging our pupils skilfully and the flow from activity to activity was seamless.
During post evaluation sessions, every pupil had something positive to say about their experience; many claiming it had been the best day ever! They were encouraged to consider what their greatest achievement had been and they were so proud of having perhaps climbed a tree for the first time or having touched the top of the climbing wall, or having lit their own fire and toasted a marshmallow!

“We at Kingston College engineering department have used Acclimbatize for many years but in current years we have built up a fantastic relationship with the company who we find to be extremely committed, accommodating to our requirements and upmost professional.
As part of our apprenticeship framework we are required to cover (PLTS) Personal Learning and Thinking Skills which can be difficult to deliver within a classroom environment so we approached Acclimbatize to help us with this delivery. They helped up develop and tailor an activity week which helped us cover all the criteria necessary for the apprentices to fill in ‘live’ diaries directly associated with their course and the PLTS part of the framework.
The companies associated with our apprentices are keen to see how their apprentices perform under situations outside of their normal comfort zones and in unfamiliar circumstances. Again, with the co-operation of Acclimbatize we were able to plan activities which would test the apprentices with results that we can feedback to their employers.
They are given extensive onsite training in all matter of weather conditions from very abled and professional instructors for all of the activities and my confidence in them is second to none so we plan to continue our relations with the company for many more years to come for up to three events per year.
I would not hesitate to recommend Acclimbatize to anyone from small groups to larger groups of all age ranges for a great experience that they will not forget.”
